For as long as I can remember, I have loved taking photographs but although I always wanted to dedicate more time to it, life and work commitments meant that this was not possible. The opportunity to take early retirement in 2006, however, enabled me to take up photography professionally and the digital age enables me to have an ever-expanding library of images.
A member of the Royal Photographic Society, I gained my Licentiateship in 2008 and I have exhibited in several local photographic exhibitions, achieving success in competitions at my regional photographic society. My work reflects my interest in shapes, colours, textures and vibrancy and I am heavily influenced by beautiful imagery.
Although my subjects range from garden nature to far-off destinations and from cityscapes to landscapes, my greatest passion is photographing flowers and insects and I specialise in capturing the form, delicacy and detail of the macro world.
Images of these and other subjects, such as an extensive collection of Venetian masks and costumes captured at the Venice Carnival, are offered for sale via my Gallery, as are a range of Greeting Cards which can be purchased at a discount for bulk.
